Megan S.'s Story
Written by Megan's mom in 2008

Megan was born Oct. 11th, 1994, due to complications and an error during labor. Megan sustained a severe brain injury, due to lack of oxygen. Megan was on a respirator and not suppose to live. They then told us if she lived, she would be deaf, blind, unable to smile, unable to suck a pacifier, unable to swallow her own secretions. They asked us what we wanted to do with her? We said we want to take her home, she is our child. Megan undergoes struggles every day of her life, and has since minute 1. She always faces those struggles with that courgeous heart that God has so graciously bestowed upon her. Megan is still non verbal, she is able to communicate her needs to us. Megan uses her wheelchair or stander to get around. She is just a joy to us. We hope that you enjoy her site and keep visisting to read our daily happenings. Megan has undergone numerous orthopedic surgeries. She has underwent 2 hip surgeries, hamstrings, foot surgery, and spinal fusion surgery with rod implementation for her scoliosis and psoas tendon releases.... May God Bless us All.....
