Melorah's Story
written by mom Jennifer in 2007

Melorah is our sweet little girl.  She has what is believed to be Dravet syndrome.  We have also found out that she has a gene mutation that is typically associated with Atypical Retts Syndrome, however she does NOT have Retts.  This particular gene mutation is unusual, so we are still sorting down the significance of this gene.  She currently experiences seizures with developmental regression.  She is also on the autistic spectrum with sensory integration disorder. When she was 2 weeks old, she was diagnosed with a severe dairy allergy.  She receives speech, occupational and physical therapy. Through all this, she is fun loving little girl.  We are blessed by her sense of humor and optimism.

We are praying that we can optimize her development and give her the best quality of life possible.
