Trey's Story
Written by Trey's mom Jennifer in 2007

Trey was born at home on Dec 7th 2005 at 6:35 weighing 11 lbs and 6oz. He is the baby of 6 children, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He was a very healthy baby, I nursed him till he was 10 months old and put him on formula. He was always looking bloated and spit up alot. We tried different formulas goat milk etc... Finally one night he just got sick with a fever and was throwing up. I felt a knot in his stomach. After seven days of taking him to the doctor and them giving us the run around, we finally were sent to a large hospital about an hour away. The doctor there ran several test Xrays CTscans etc.. a few hours later they came to tell us he had a huge tumor across his whole abdomen flattening the lower lungs, wrapped around several major blood vessels and arteries. They immediately flew him to St.Louis Children's and diagnosed him a few days later with Neuroblastoma Stage 4 intermediate. But inoperable at the time. He has went through 8 cycles of chemo and 2 attempts at surgery. At this point we are hoping to find a surgeon to remove the rest of the tumor before they hit him with more chemo.
